First of all, let me say Happy (sort of) Anniversary to the love of my life--my wife Elizabeth. It was five years ago today that she came into my life. Am I the luckiest guy on earth, or what? Second, for all my peeps who've been so supportive of me and my career, here's some good news. Starting sometime in the next week I'll be doing morning sports on KNX 1070. I'll be filling in for my pal Randy Kerdoon, who's a bit under the weather and is taking some time off. I'll have more details after my orientation meeting Thursday, and I'm very excited to be back in the news world. Last time I ventured into all-news was when I worked for KFWB in the late 90's--early 2000's. It was one of the best times of my broadcasting career, winning two Golden Mic Awards and working with some of the best people in the industry, including the late, great Rod Van Hook. And it will be really nice to be back on the air in LA! For those of you who follow me on Twitter (joeontheradio) this isn't the job I Tweeted about a few days ago. I'm still working on that and the wheels are in motion to get the McDonnell-Douglas Show back on the air. More details on that coming in the near future. So, keep checking the website, follow me on Twitter or check out my Facebook page--www.facebook.com/joemcdonnell. And as always, thanks for your support! --Joe |
